LaKeisha is an alumnus of Dudley’s Cosmetology University of Kernersville, NC and has been a licensed cosmetologist for over 19 years. In 2000, she received a Certificate of Appreciation from the State of North Carolina Department of Correction for her voluntary work and ministry in the prison. In 1997, LaKeisha became an ordained minister under the leadership of Apostle Dr. Virginia Smith, who is also her mother. In 2019, LaKeisha was also recognized as an Iconic Woman in Ministry.
LaKeisha’s heart is truly that of a servant. Her influence on the lives of those around her is palpable. The love and genuine concern for the individuals she touches is astounding. However, one of the most significant battles she endured was being diagnosed with a rare form of Ovarian cancer in June of 2010. Where many would have lost hope, she in fact kept her faith. Through faith and prayer by January 2011 she was cleared of the cancer…To God Be All of The Glory!
